Mike Wilbourne and family established Strategy Group in Nelson in 1986. For 18 years, the family run contract packing business went from strength to strength, and excelled predominantly within the confectionery and cereal industries servicing major blue chip companies.
April 2004...- Link Logistics saw an opportunity to purchase and develop Strategy Group, creating an enhanced partnership to provide a service offering our customers a complete solution for packing, storage and transport.
August 2004...- BRC accreditation awarded recognising Strategy Group's commitment to quality.
June 2005...- Installation of a clean room and installed specific machinery to assist a major confectionery company with crisis management after their manufacturing plant burnt down.
June 2007...- A new initiative was developed at Strategy Group, providing a segregated clean environment for the packing of pet foods and treats. This provided the opportunity to extend Strategy Group's capabilities in a growing market.
Feb 2008...- Keswick Enterprises acquired both Link Logistics and Strategy Group introduced them into their family of companies, which include Spatial and Delamode.
April 2008...- New management team brought in to expand and develop the sectors which Strategy cover and expand in to new areas.
September 2008...- Sedex registration, reflecting a commitment to ethical operations and care for the environment.
October 2008...- Strategy Group expanded their warehousing and storage capabilities to facilitate the increased packaging requirement.
February 2011...- Accredited with a Grade A BRC.
